The vineyards lie at elevations of roughly 200–400 meters with soils rich in galestro, clay, and limestone, contributing to the elegance and structure of the wines. Castello Romitorio is best known for its Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, made from 100% Sangiovese, characterized by finesse, aromatic complexity, and strong aging potential. The Rosso di Montalcino DOC offers a fresher, more approachable expression of Sangiovese, while the Toscana IGT wines, such as Romito and RomiTòro, blend international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, reflecting a modern Tuscan style. The estate combines artistic heritage with meticulous vineyard work and traditional winemaking, and its labels often feature Sandro Chia’s artwork, uniting art and wine in a distinctive identity.
