Chartogne-Taillet is a Champagne producer based in the village of Merfy, located in the Montagne de Reims subregion of Champagne, France. The estate is known for its commitment to quality and terroir-driven winemaking practices.
Chartogne-Taillet is currently run by Alexandre Chartogne, who represents the fifth generation of winemakers in his family. The estate's vineyards cover approximately 12 hectares (about 30 acres) and are planted with traditional Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier.
What sets Chartogne-Taillet apart is their focus on expressing the individuality of each vineyard site through their Champagnes. They practice sustainable viticulture and employ minimal intervention techniques in the cellar to allow the true character of the grapes to shine through in the finished wines.
