Domaine Fourrier is a prestigious wine estate located in Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France. Renowned for producing exceptional Pinot Noir, the domaine works across several top-tier appellations, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and notable sites like Clos St. Jacques (a Premier Cru often considered Grand Cru quality) and Griotte-Chambertin (Grand Cru).
The domaine’s winemaking roots go back to the early 20th century, but it gained international acclaim after Jean-Marie Fourrier took over in 1994 at just 23 years old. Having trained under the legendary Henri Jayer, Jean-Marie brought a philosophy focused on minimal intervention and pure terroir expression. The vineyards, many planted with vines between 50 and 100 years old, are farmed with organic principles (though not certified), and the wines are made with little manipulation: whole cluster fermentation, low use of new oak (typically under 20%), and no fining or filtration.
