Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy
Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy is a well-regarded, family-run Burgundy estate based in Gevrey-Chambertin, known for producing structured, traditional-style Pinot Noir with strong aging potential. The domaine has been in the Harmand family for several generations and is currently led by Philippe Harmand.
The estate spans around 9 hectares, with vineyards located primarily in Gevrey-Chambertin. Its holdings include village-level plots as well as several respected Premier Cru sites such as Lavaux Saint-Jacques, Clos Prieur, and Les Champeaux, along with a small parcel in the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru. As with many top domaines in the Côte de Nuits, production is relatively limited, contributing to the wines’ appeal among enthusiasts.
Harmand-Geoffroy wines are typically robust and classically styled, often showing darker fruit (black cherry, blackberry), earthy and spicy notes, and firm tannic structure in their youth. Compared to more modern, fruit-forward producers, the wines can be more austere early on but reward patience with complexity and depth over time.
