Domaine Henri Boillot is one of Burgundy's benchmark estates, renowned for producing some of the finest white wines in the Côte de Beaune while also crafting exceptional Pinot Noir from Volnay and surrounding appellations. Although the Boillot family has cultivated vines in Burgundy since 1885, Henri Boillot transformed the domaine into an international reference after taking over in the 1970s. Today, the estate is based in Meursault, strategically positioned between Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay, with Henri focusing on the white wines and his son Guillaume leading the production of the reds.

The philosophy of the domaine is centered on expressing each vineyard with maximum precision. Henri Boillot was an early advocate of highly reasoned, environmentally conscious viticulture, limiting treatments and interventions in the vineyard long before it became common practice. Harvesting is carried out with meticulous attention to preserving freshness, and the wines are vinified with a balance of traditional craftsmanship and modern precision. Oak is used judiciously to support, rather than dominate, the fruit and mineral character of each terroir, resulting in wines celebrated for their purity, tension, and longevity.

The domaine's most iconic wine is Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère, a monopole within Les Perrières that is widely regarded as one of the greatest white wines in Burgundy, often performing at Grand Cru level. Other flagship whites include Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, and outstanding Premier Crus such as Les Pucelles, Clos de la Mouchère, and Meursault Genevrières. On the red side, the estate produces elegant and age-worthy Volnay and Pommard wines that have gained increasing acclaim under Guillaume Boillot's direction.

Henri Boillot's white wines are admired for their crystalline purity, vibrant acidity, and unmistakable mineral drive. Aromas of lemon, citrus blossom, white peach, hazelnut, brioche, wet stone, and subtle smoky reduction are layered over a palate that combines richness with extraordinary energy and precision. The reds display floral aromatics, silky tannins, and refined red fruit, emphasizing elegance over power. Both whites and reds possess outstanding aging potential, with the top cuvées evolving beautifully over several decades.

Among collectors and sommeliers, Domaine Henri Boillot is consistently ranked alongside legendary white Burgundy producers such as Coche-Dury, Domaine Leflaive, Ramonet, and Roulot.
