Etienne Sauzet
Domaine Etienne Sauzet is a prestigious wine estate located in Puligny-Montrachet, in the heart of Burgundy, France. Founded in the early 20th century by Etienne Sauzet, the domaine has remained in the family for four generations. It is now managed by Sauzet’s great-granddaughter, Emilie Boudot, and her husband, Benoît Riffault. The estate spans approximately 15 hectares, covering prized vineyard plots in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Cormot-le-Grand in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.
Renowned for producing some of Burgundy’s finest white wines, Domaine Etienne Sauzet specializes exclusively in Chardonnay. Their wines are celebrated for their purity, finesse, minerality, and ability to age gracefully. The domaine practices meticulous viticulture, with hand-harvesting, separate vinification of each parcel, and aging in carefully selected French oak barrels. Since 2009, the estate has been fully committed to biodynamic farming, reinforcing its philosophy of sustainability and respect for the environment.
