Prunotto
Nestled in the hills of Piemonte, just outside the town of Alba, Prunotto is a winery that reflects over a century of winemaking heritage. Founded in 1904 by Alfredo Prunotto, the estate has grown into a respected name in Italian wine, with vineyards spread across some of the region’s most prestigious appellations, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Nizza, and Monferrato.
Since becoming part of the Antinori family in 1989, Prunotto has combined deep-rooted tradition with a modern, precise approach to viticulture and vinification. The result is a portfolio of wines that reflect the diversity and richness of Piemonte’s terroir, produced with care, sustainability, and a relentless focus on quality.
Prunotto’s Barolo and Barbaresco wines are at the core of its identity—refined expressions of Nebbiolo that reveal the elegance, structure, and complexity that define these iconic DOCG wines. With notes of red fruit, dried roses, spice, and subtle earthiness, these wines have the depth to age beautifully while remaining accessible in their youth.
The estate also produces a range of other regional wines, including expressive Barbera from Alba and Nizza, supple Dolcetto d’Alba, fresh and aromatic Roero Arneis, and the lightly sparkling, fragrant Moscato d’Asti. Each wine is a reflection of its origin, shaped by the limestone-rich soils and unique microclimates that characterize Piemonte.
What distinguishes Prunotto is its ability to balance heritage and innovation. The winemaking remains rooted in tradition, yet every step—from vineyard to cellar—is carried out with remarkable attention to detail. This philosophy, supported by the vision of the Antinori family, ensures that every bottle bearing the Prunotto name offers a genuine and captivating expression of the region.
With a legacy built on authenticity, precision, and a deep respect for the land, Prunotto continues to stand as a reference point for Piemonte wines. Whether you're drawn to the power of Barolo, the finesse of Barbaresco, or the charm of Barbera and Arneis, Prunotto’s wines offer a journey through the heart of Northern Italy’s most treasured terroirs.
