| TASTING NOTES: | Tasted at the chateau with Dany Rolland as part of a vertical. The 2004 is very closed on the nose, a little earthy, introverted at the moment: blackberry, plum, boysenberry and a hint of liquorices. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded, quite plump tannins that nod towards the 2003. But I like the balance and this 2004 has a good deal of panache, more than the 2002 for example. This Bon Pasteur is svelte and harmonious towards the finish. It has a Saint Emilion feel to it, but very well crafted and it caresses on the finish. |
