| TASTING NOTES: | The 1990 is a dense, full-bodied, tannic, and concentrated wine with significant potential. It should turn out to be among the richest and most complex St.-Juliens proprietor Anthony Barton has yet fashioned. For comparative purposes, it is sweeter and more unctuous than the 1986, and more concentrated than the 1985, two other admirable vintages. A classic wine, as well as a notable bargain, it will age effortlessly. |
