TASTING NOTES:	This continues to impress as a supremely elegant wine with finesse, freshness and a lovely expressive fruit character. It is lighter than its fellows, but shows aromas of pomegranate and dark cherries touched with spice, a hint of rose petals, and a suggestion of smoke that are truly lovely. Some felt the presence of the wood; Bertrand de Villaine assures us that they have never had a weaker chauffe (toast to the barrel) than this. The bright acidity and compact, tensile strength of the wine assure us it will live virtually forever.
