| TASTING NOTES: | The 2012 Volnay 1er Cru Santenots du Milieu was covered in-depth in the December issue. It has an intense bouquet with raspberry and blueberry scents, an underlying mineralite that surfaces with aeration accompanied by seductive floral scents. The palate is tightly wound with sharp tannins, very fresh and gritty in the mouth with a very structured linear finish cut from the same cloth as a 2010. You can already appreciate the substance here, its grit and determination. |
