| TASTING NOTES: | The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champonnets 1er Cru is showing the stem addition on the nose at the moment, though that will all integrated with time. There is a lovely, subtle sea spray/oyster shell scent here that gains intensity with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with fine definition, taut and fresh, very harmonious with a gentle grip on the silky finish. This is another classically-styled Gevrey-Chambertin that should age with style. |
