| TASTING NOTES: | The 2013 Barolo La Serra is laced with the essence of kirsch, spice, new leather, tobacco, licorice and menthol. High-toned and aromatically expressive the La Serra will drink well with minimal cellaring because of its soft, mid-weight structure. Beams of tannin extend the finish nicely. If opened young, the 2013 needs a few hours of air for the slightly volatile notes in the bouquet to dissipate. Overall, the 2013 is a bit eccentric, but it is well done. |
