| TASTING NOTES: | The NV Extra Brut & (2023 base), distinguished by the large red ampersand on its label, incorporates approximately 20% reserve wine from 2022 and is derived from purchased fruit grown in Gueux and Janvry. Disgorged in October 2025 with a dosage of 2.5 grams per liter, it reveals aromas of peach, yellow apple, pear, almond and rooibos. Medium- to full-bodied, it is animated by tangy acidity and anchored by a fleshy, rich core of fruit, exhibiting a distinctly vinous profile. While some previous renditions—notably the 2019 and, to some degree, the 2022—exhibited certain organoleptic shortcomings, this release appears more confidently realized. |
