| TASTING NOTES: | The 2012 Saumagen Riesling Spätlese Trocken R opens with a deep and slightly smoky bouquet of lemons and somewhat cooked apple and burnt milk flavors. Rich, full-bodied and nutty on the clear and fresh palate this 13% alcohol wine is powerful and complex, reveals a chalky texture and a finesse-full, vivid, aromatic and salty finish. A stunning wine with an excellent aging potential but it does not enter the market before 2016. |
