| TASTING NOTES: | A similar hue to the vintage 2000, yet the nose has more delineation and lift, more sweetness with blackberries, cassis and violets. The palate is full-bodied, beautiful balance, silky smooth, wonderful harmony but very closed. This is less flamboyant than the 2003 Nacional, slightly broody, more “correct” on the finish. Needs a long period of ageing but there is a stoic, reserve to this wine that I love. A classic port. |
