Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is one of the smallest and rarest white wine appellations in Burgundy, located within the commune of Puligny-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Bordering the famous Bâtard-Montrachet vineyard, it covers less than four hectares, making it highly exclusive. The vineyard is devoted entirely to Chardonnay and is celebrated for wines that balance richness with elegance.

The soils of Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet combine limestone with a greater proportion of clay, giving the wines more roundness and texture compared to neighboring Puligny parcels. Despite this generosity, the wines retain a precise structure, often showing floral aromatics alongside ripe orchard fruits and almond notes. Over time, they develop honeyed nuances and remarkable complexity.

Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet is prized by collectors not only for its finesse but also for its rarity. Only a handful of domaines produce it, with Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Henri Boillot among the most notable. Limited production and outstanding quality have made these wines highly coveted across the world.
