For generations the family has owned and tended vineyards, but it was only in the 2010s that they began bottling under their own label and gaining broader recognition. Under the leadership of winemaker Thomas Colladot and commercial director Claire Fleurot, the domaine has expanded its international profile while staying rooted in traditional, terroir-focused winemaking.

The estate’s vineyards total around 9 hectares planted predominantly to Pinot Noir and include an exceptional array of six Grand Cru sites, such as Grands Échezeaux, Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot, Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de la Roche, and Clos Saint-Denis. In addition, it holds premier cru and village plots across prestigious appellations in Burgundy.

Winemaking at Coquard Loison-Fleurot emphasizes gentle, minimally interventionist techniques: grapes are hand-harvested, fermentation is conducted in ways that respect the character of each site, and the wines are aged in oak, with new barrel percentages varying by quality level to bring out purity and nuance rather than overt power. This approach results in wines that reflect the finesse and complexity of their terroirs, with expressive fruit, elegant structure, and clear site identity.

Today, the domaine’s wines from entry-level Bourgogne Rouge and Vosne-Romanée village wines to its sought-after Grand Cru bottlings are highly regarded by critics and collectors alike and are considered among the rising stars of Burgundy
