TASTING NOTES:	As usual, Mortet blended his holdings in Petite Chapelle, Cherbaudes and Bel-Air to produce the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, a fine bottling in the making, exhibiting aromas of red berries, forest floor, orange rind and black truffle. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, elegant and integrated, with powdery tannins and a lively core of fruit.

About Domaine Denis Mortet

Domaine Denis Mortet, nestled in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the revered Côte de Nuits of Burgundy, stands as a testament to the legacy of the late Denis Mortet. Founded by Denis, a highly respected winemaker, the domaine earned acclaim for its commitment to quality winemaking and its focus on the powerful and structured Pinot Noir wines emblematic of the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation.

Following Denis Mortet's passing in 2006, his son Arnaud Mortet assumed the reins of the estate, ensuring the continuation of the family's winemaking heritage. The domaine's vineyard holdings, primarily in Gevrey-Chambertin, form the canvas upon which the Mortets paint their oenological masterpieces.
