| TASTING NOTES: | The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Herbues had the honor of being wine number 2,497, the final tasting note of a five-week marathon in the Côte d'Or. It proved to be a perfect ending. The disarmingly pure nose features red fruit infused with floral notes of red rose and peony. The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannins matched with a fine bead of acidity. Reassuringly harmonious, with a silky finish plus a touch of piquancy, this is aging well and should provide a decade's worth of drinking pleasure. |
